September in the music room

At all grade levels, we begin the month with an exploration of beat. Your students will play, sing and move to strong beats, weak beats, steady beats, and attempt to follow music that doesn't have a clear beat at all. We'll even try to find beat in our world outside the music room. Learning how to listen is the first step in becoming a musician - and an important part of becoming a strong learner in any endeavor!
